Details: Merzie Meadows was once a derelict Cottage, surrounded then by overgrown woodland and general neglect; a drive way in had to be recreated and a garden for the wildlife with conservation areas was gradually put into place over a period of twenty odd years. Our home was the first objective to be restored and the garden project gradually rippled outwards from the house.
Today we welcome guests from all over the world, many of whom like to come back and visit us here in the Heart of Kent and to enjoy the luxurious comfort and peace that we can offer them.

There are places to visit, historical homes, castles and wonderful gardens. famed for their beauty - almost too numerous to visit! Merzie Meadows has long been recognized as a nice place to stay and has accrued many awards, including two for excellence.

Accommodation
Honeysuckle Room
The Honeysuckle Room with its lovely views, a bedroom set in a garden: all rooms are en suite; this one has its own shower room. Beds are all a very comfortable king size with hand made mattresses and Goose Down pillows to ensure our guests have a good night’s sleep.

Terrace Suite
The Terrace suite is extensive, with its own sitting room, and a separate room with writing desk — ideal for writing and sending those cards and letters home. The suite can also be used as a triple or twin with an en suite bath and walk in power shower. Beds are all a very comfortable king size with hand made mattresses and Goose Down pillows to ensure our guests have a good night’s sleep.

Both en suite rooms are contained in separate wings of the House, providing complete privacy as well as lovely views through floor to ceiling sliding windows. Restful colours create warm, bright living spaces.
The views from the very comfortable, spacious self contained en suite bedroom overlook the grounds and surrounding woodland and countryside. The Breakfast room with its Italian tiled floor has the same enchanting view.

Breakfast is cooked on the Aga using as much organic produce as possible (eggs courtesy of our own hens!) There are other variations for breakfast as well, if a cooked breakfast is not required.

Each room is provided with glossy magazines, chilled mineral water, a hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a colour television, along with all the local information a guest may require to make their stay enjoyable and easy. Rooms are within distance of a wireless internet access point.

The dining room can be used in conjunction with the garden room for the Aga cooked breakfasts and other specialities. The garden area accessible from both rooms is well kept and maintained, with benches and seats for guests to relax outside.

We aim to give our guests a quiet service and hope to make them feel comfortable and at ease - the ultimate unwinding spot after a day of sight seeing in all the wonderful places our county of Kent has to offer.

Location
The twenty acre grounds surrounding the house have been nurtured over many years into a lovely mature garden; a haven for many birds, waterfowl and other wildlife, making it a pleasant place to be in on a warm summers day.
