Details: The Gardeners Arms is situated in the heart of the village of Higham close to Charles Dickens last home at Gads Hill Place and near the historical city of Rochester. We are an ideal base to experience the Dickens Festival , as well as the City's cathedral , castle and museum.

We offer a friendly and warm atmosphere making us an excellent place to relax and make new friends. Enjoy our excellent selection of Real Ales, lagers, wines and spirits. We also offer accommodation and an award winning restaurant offering an impressive and high quality menu.

The beer is supplied by England's oldest brewers Shepherd Neame. This Kent-based brewer has maintained its traditions in brewing, sourcing all of its ingredients where possible from local suppliers.

The restaurant is an ideal place to celebrate. We can cater for most sized parties and we will always do our best to cater for special needs when requested. Our cuisine is of the highest quality and only sourced from reputable local suppliers. Our food is fresh and cooked on the premises to order.

Our accommodation offers comfortable well appointed rooms and are ideal for those visiting the local area on a bed and breakfast basis. Please be advised that we are a very busy establishment and therefore booking in advance is advisable for both the restaurant and accommodation.

As well as a full evening ‘a la carte’ menu served between 6.30 to 9pm Monday to Saturday , we also offer a full lunchtime menu served between 12 and 2 pm as well as the Specials Board. Sunday lunchtime we serve a traditional selection of Sunday Lunches and at all times we are only too pleased to offer vegetarian alternatives.
