This small, friendly, family run B&B offers a high standard of comfortable accommodation in a peaceful setting with outstanding views.
Bay Tree Cottage is centrally situated to allow easy access to the numerous attractions of East Kent. As well as the historic cities of Canterbury and Sandwich there are many other charming and interesting small towns within easy reach including Faversham and Whitstable. The coastal towns of Dover, Deal and Walmer all have interesting castles to explore. Amongst the many other popular attractions are:
-A number of first class golf courses, including a pay and play course
-Newly opened FowlmeadCountryPark
-Nature reserves
-Howletts Wild Animal Park (famous for its conservation work, gorillas and tigers)
-Gardens that are open to the public including GoodnestonePark with its connection to Jane Austen
-Slightly further afield are the Channel ports with quick and easy access to France
There are numerous pubs and restaurants in Wingham and the surrounding villages offering a variety of good quality meals at reasonable prices.
Rates
Bed and Breakfast charges per room are as follows:
Twin £55 per night, single occupancy £45 *
En suite £70 per night *
* These prices will be reduced by £5 per night for a stay of 2 nights or more
A travel cot is available for a baby in parents' room at no extra charge.
We also have a camp and/or air bed which can be used to accommodate young children in the parents' room. There is no charge for children under 5 years, older children an extra £10 per night.
We regret that we do not have the facility to accept payment by credit or debit card.
Accommodation
We have two rooms available:
A double en suite
A twin with en suite hand basin / WC and separate bathroom with shower
Both rooms have delightful views of the surrounding countryside, Digital TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer in each room. Iron / ironing board is available on request.
We are happy to accommodate children, in the parents’ room if preferred. Baby sitting may even be available at no cost, although not guaranteed!
We do not like smoking in the house and regret it is difficult for us to accommodate pets.
There is ample off-road parking available.
Use of the attractive garden is welcomed.
A choice of English breakfasts is available up to 9am.
