The Allotment restaurant is in Dover High Street and features in the 2011 Good Food Guide.
Lunch and dinner menus change regularly depending on season and availability. Great coffee and teas are served throughout the day with a selection of home-made cakes, available all day. We have specials boards, for our daily selection of lunch and dinner dishes.
We have a quality wine list, with house wine at £15 per bottle and our other wines, at £19 per bottle. All wines are also available by the glass. The courtyard garden is planted with seasonal flowers and herbs, offering a welcome, quiet retreat from the busy High Street.

The restaurant is also available for private functions by arrangement: weddings, celebrations and get togethers.
Good Food Guide
For the second successive year, Dover based restaurant The Allotment, has received the ultimate accolade by being featured in the new 2011 edition of The Good Food Guide.
Described in this edition as “Mightily satisfying urban bistro” and “David Flynn’s urban bistro is certainly attempting to kick-start Dover’s restaurant scene”, inclusion in the new guide sees The Allotment remaining the first-ever Dover town centre restaurant to achieve such national recognition.
Selection into the guide is based entirely on readers’ recommendations and inspection reports and this achievement again establishes The Allotment as one of the top 1200 restaurants in the UK.
Proprietor Dave Flynn’s vision for a self-sufficient restaurant became a reality when his first-ever establishment, The Allotment, opened in June 2007. An allotment owner and resident from Twickenham, South West London, Dave has been a professional chef for over 30 years in London and Australia, and the unique catering style he has brought to the coast has become increasingly popular with local customers and visitors to the area.
