Details: Established in 1990, Bewl Windsurfing has earned a reputation for the highest quality of teaching and skill development, from first timers to experts.

Safety at Bewl is maintained to the highest standard. We are a friendly and professional Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Centre registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority to provide water sports. A strict instructor to student ratio is maintained on all our courses and a support boat is on the water at all times. All instructors are fully qualified and hold First Aid and Powerboat certificates.

Bewl water is the largest inland water in South East England covering 770 acres. It is situated on the Kent and Sussex border in an area of outstanding natural beauty between the picturesque villages of Lamberhurst, Ticehurst and Wadhurst, just off the A21 and only 20 minutes from J5 of the M25.

Nearby are country inns and restaurants, vineyards, castles, craft centres and historic Tunbridge Wells for sightseeing and shopping. There are ample parking and picnic areas at the lake, restaurant, conference centre, adventure playground, mountain bikes, fishing, boat trips and bridle trails. Above all, hot showers in our purpose built watersports centre.

Bewl Windsurfing welcomes all ages and abilities. From starting to wobble to working on waterstarts, cruising to cracking carving, gybing to jumping. All equipment is supplied. All you need is to be able to swim 50 metres and to bring a TOWEL, SWIMWEAR, A PAIR OF OLD TRAINERS, and a SENSE OF HUMOUR!!!

We offer a wide range of courses to meet the requirements and skill levels of all our pupils. Our courses are designed to entertain and challenge the particular age and interest groups of our students. If you would like to book a course, or simply find out more information, ring us.

Intensive Day Course
Start windsurfing for beginners or Fastforward for improvers: Intensive day course Mondays to Saturdays. A full day course includes an extra 2 hour session of free sailing or an assessment.

Two Hour Introductory Lessons
Lessons for complete beginners; Have a go! Mondays to Saturdays

Other Courses
Half day courses
Clinics: From wobblers to wannabe waterstarters; 2 or 4 hour sessions
Zero to Hero: Start windsurfing plus 6 hours hire plus Fastfoward will give you a flying start at a discount price.

Hiring Equipment
Bewl windsurfing have a wide range of new wide style boards available for hire to anyone who can sail upwind in the prevailing conditions. A support boat is on hand in case of difficulties. Hiring equipment means that you can experiment with the latest gear before making the all important decision of investing in your own kit. For those with limited time, storage space or transporting problems it is the answer to practice your latest skills and keep fit.

Supervised Sailing
If you supply all your own equipment and have 3rd party insurance, we'll keep an eye on you.
