Details: Spend a thrilling day out in Kent at Howletts Wild Animal Park - a 90 acre adventure in beautiful ancient parkland.

There'll be surprises around every corner on your journey of discovery including close encounters at the glass fronted tiger enclosures, gorillas, clouded leopards, monkeys, tapirs, giant anteaters, macaques, rhinos and many other rare and endangered species from around the world.

Don't miss the Black Rhino breeding sanctuary, the UK's largest herd of African elephants and Walking With Lemurs - walk alongside and below our free roaming family of amazingly agile and lively Lemurs!

We recommend that you allow 2 to 3 hours to fully enjoy the Howletts experience, although there is enough to entertain the family for the whole day!

Facilities
• 90 species of rare and endangered animals
• Restaurant, pizzeria, refreshment kiosks and picnic areas
• Gift shops
• Adventure playground
• Glass fronted tiger enclosure
• Walk through lemur enclosure
• Keeper talks (peak periods only)
• Education centre
• Plenty of free parking
• Toilets are located at various points around the park and are marked on the map

Our parks are very different from conventional zoos. The animals, which include rare and endangered species, are able to live and breed in conditions as close to their natural habitat as possible. This can mean that when the weather is inclement some of our animals will seek shelter in their indoor enclosures, which are always open to them but not on view to the public and you may want to consider this when planning your visit. Your car is left at the car park and you walk through the park. To fully enjoy the parks we recommend that you allow about 3 hours for Howletts. Unfortunately we do not allow dogs into the parks.
