This is a long, rural sandy bay with rocky and shingle areas, promenade and paddling pool. It is a tidal bay except on spring tides. There is a sailing club, windsurfing area and seal watching trips and kite board lessons are available.

Facilities include:

• First Aid station,
• cafes,
• toilets,
• bay inspector/information,
• parking facilities,
• chalets for hire,
• picnic area,
• public house nearby
• children's play area nearby.

Disabled access to the beach with disabled toilets open all year and disabled parking bays.
From 1st May to 30th September no dogs allowed during any part of the day.
